Naturopathic Care
Prenatal & Postnatal Care
You should not have to navigate pregnancy alone, and you should not have to stop getting support once the baby arrives.

The opening conversation
Pregnancy is one of the most hormonally complex and nutritionally demanding seasons of your life. And yet it is often the time when women feel most unsupported by the conventional system, waiting weeks for appointments, getting minimal guidance on supplements, and navigating an overwhelming amount of conflicting information online.
Naturopathic care during pregnancy is not about replacing your OB or midwife. It is about filling the gaps. The nutrition questions, the supplement decisions, the symptom management, the nervous system support, and the preparation for what comes after. Every trimester brings new needs, and having a Naturopathic Doctor in your corner means you do not have to figure it out alone.
And that support does not stop at delivery. The weeks and months after birth, the fourth trimester, are a time of deep hormonal shift, physical recovery, and emotional adjustment. Your health matters just as much as your baby's, and I am here for that chapter too.
What I can help with
- Nausea and vomiting, fatigue, constipation and digestive concerns, heartburn and reflux, insomnia and sleep disruption, leg cramps, headaches, back and hip pain, mood support and stress management, gestational diabetes support, GBS prevention, iron deficiency and anemia, postpartum hormonal recovery, low milk supply, postpartum mood concerns including anxiety and depression, and infant health concerns including colic, cradle cap, jaundice, and constipation.

How I approach
Prenatal & Postnatal Care

Using the Hormone Cornerstone Method I look at your pregnancy and postpartum health as a whole-body concern. Hormones, nutrition, nervous system health, gut function, and sleep all interact in profound ways during pregnancy and recovery. Rather than addressing symptoms one at a time, I look at the full picture and build a personalized, trimester-appropriate plan that supports both you and your baby.
Care is available through focused Pregnancy Check-In Appointments, which can be booked once per trimester or as needed throughout pregnancy and postpartum. These appointments are available to both new and existing patients, in person at Body Co in The Junction, West End Toronto, and virtually for any resident of Ontario.
As you move into the third trimester, Labour Prep Acupuncture is also available as a standalone treatment to help prepare your body for birth naturally and gently. Learn more on the [Labour Prep Acupuncture page].

What we might explore together
The full picture
Every patient's story is different but here's where we'll likely look:
Optimal prenatal supplementation and what your prenatal vitamin is actually missing, nutrient deficiencies and how to address them through diet and targeted supplementation, nausea and first trimester symptom management, blood sugar stability and gestational diabetes prevention, labour preparation starting in the third trimester, postpartum hormonal recovery and mood support, breastfeeding support and low milk supply, and infant concerns in the early weeks.

FAQs
Don't see your question here? Reach out and I'll answer it directly.
Yes. Virtual naturopathic care is available to any resident of Ontario, which makes it especially convenient during pregnancy and those early postpartum weeks.
Yes. Postpartum mood changes, including anxiety, irritability, low mood, and postpartum depression, have a significant hormonal and nutritional component. I take these concerns seriously and work to identify the physiological drivers alongside any other support you may be receiving.
I recommend reconnecting around six to eight weeks postpartum if things are going smoothly. If you are experiencing mood concerns, feeding challenges, significant fatigue, or anything that does not feel right, please reach out sooner. Virtual appointments are available and make it easier to connect in those early weeks when getting out of the house feels like a feat.
Yes. Nausea is one of the most common first trimester concerns and one that responds well to naturopathic support including dietary strategies, targeted supplementation like B6 and ginger, acupressure, and nervous system support. We can also discuss when acupuncture might be a helpful addition.
This is one of the most common questions I get and one of the most important. Not all prenatal vitamins are created equal, and supplement needs change across each trimester. We discuss exactly what you need, why it matters, and which products I recommend based on your individual situation.
Absolutely. Naturopathic care works alongside your existing obstetric or midwifery care, not instead of it. I focus on nutrition, supplements, symptom management, and the areas that often fall through the cracks in standard prenatal care.
No. The Pregnancy Check-In is open to both new and existing patients at any stage of pregnancy or postpartum.
