Why Am I Always Tired? Quiz
Take the Free Hormone Fatigue Quiz!
Feeling tired all the time—and no idea why?
If you're asking yourself "why am I always tired?" even after a full night's sleep, you're not imagining it, and you're definitely not alone.
Persistent fatigue is one of the most common reasons adults seek out naturopathic care, and it almost always has an identifiable root cause. The tricky part is that fatigue is a symptom, not a diagnosis, and several different systems in your body can produce the exact same feeling of running on empty.
One of the most common culprits is cortisol imbalance. Cortisol is your primary stress hormone, and when chronic stress keeps it elevated or eventually depletes it, you can end up feeling wired but tired at night, groggy in the morning, and dependent on caffeine to function.
Blood sugar crashes are another frequent driver. If your energy tanks mid-afternoon, you get shaky or irritable between meals, or you crave sugar after eating, unstable glucose may be behind your fatigue.
A sluggish thyroid is another key player. Even subclinical hypothyroidism, where lab values are technically "normal" but not optimal, can cause low energy, brain fog, cold intolerance, and weight changes. And for women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s, shifting sex hormones during perimenopause and menopause are a major and often overlooked cause of exhaustion, disrupted sleep, and low motivation. Iron deficiency, low B12, poor sleep quality, and nutrient depletion can all compound the picture.
The problem is that these causes overlap, and guessing usually leads to months of trying random supplements that don't work. That's exactly why I created this quiz. This isn't just another generic fatigue checklist. It helps you identify your specific energy pattern and the underlying hormone system that could be driving it, whether that's cortisol, blood sugar, thyroid, or sex hormones. This is where you start to connect the dots.
